Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain CMM programs using industry-standard software to measure complex parts accurately.
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to create detailed inspection routines that comply with GD&T standards.
Collaborate with quality assurance and production teams to troubleshoot measurement issues and optimize inspection processes.
Perform routine calibration and maintenance checks on CMM equipment to ensure consistent performance and reliability.
Analyze measurement data and generate comprehensive reports to support quality control and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or higher in Manufacturing Technology, Metrology, or related field preferred.
Proven experience programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) in a manufacturing environment.
Zeiss experience highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles and engineering drawings.
Familiarity with CMM programming software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints accurately.
Certification in metrology or CMM programming from a recognized institution (preferred).
Experience with advanced CMM technologies including scanning and non-contact measurement systems (preferred).
Background in quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or AS9100 (preferred).
Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools (preferred).
Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of process improvement in manufacturing settings (preferred).
