About the role

  • General Manager overseeing the Technology PMO and ensuring high-quality technology programme delivery for MTN Group Fintech. Responsible for operational leadership and governance of technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide enterprise-wide operational leadership for the Technology PMO and delivery ecosystem across MTN Group Fintech
  • Ensure structured, predictable, and high-quality delivery of all technology programmes, including platform migrations, next-generation digital channels, cloud, data, and integration initiatives
  • Establish and govern demand management, delivery governance, portfolio reporting, and process optimisation frameworks
  • Enable MTN Fintech to execute complex, multi-market technology transformations efficiently, at scale, and in compliance with Group and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4-year tertiary degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field
  • PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or equivalent certification required
  • Master’s Degree / MBA advantageous
  • Minimum 10–12 years relevant experience in large-scale technology delivery environments
  • 5+ years in senior programme, PMO, or delivery leadership roles
  • Experience delivering multi-market, multi-vendor technology transformations
  • Strong exposure to Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, cloud, and digital platforms
  • Fintech, financial services, or digital platform experience preferred
