About the role

  • Sourcing Analyst responsible for analyzing and optimizing procurement strategies at Mohawk Industries. Collaborating with suppliers and managing commodities with a focus on cost savings and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and optimize sourcing strategies
  • Coordinate all activities related to procurement of a commodity
  • Analyze requirements of the commodity, including specifications and preferred supplier
  • Solicit and evaluate proposals for the requested commodity
  • Investigate and interview potential suppliers to determine if they meet requirements
  • Advise team members or management on appropriate supplier
  • Negotiate costs for the commodity balanced against quality and schedule needs
  • Implement purchase contracts that comply with regulations
  • Assure commodity delivery on schedule at negotiated price and quality standards
  • Maintain timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents
  • Coordinate methods needed to distribute commodity cost-effectively

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience
  • 2-4 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
