About the role
- Sourcing Analyst responsible for analyzing and optimizing procurement strategies at Mohawk Industries. Collaborating with suppliers and managing commodities with a focus on cost savings and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize sourcing strategies
- Coordinate all activities related to procurement of a commodity
- Analyze requirements of the commodity, including specifications and preferred supplier
- Solicit and evaluate proposals for the requested commodity
- Investigate and interview potential suppliers to determine if they meet requirements
- Advise team members or management on appropriate supplier
- Negotiate costs for the commodity balanced against quality and schedule needs
- Implement purchase contracts that comply with regulations
- Assure commodity delivery on schedule at negotiated price and quality standards
- Maintain timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents
- Coordinate methods needed to distribute commodity cost-effectively
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience
- 2-4 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
