About the role

  • Showroom Sales Specialist at Dal-Tile providing interior design advice and facilitating product selection in a family-friendly work environment. Fostering sales through customer engagement and product expertise in a collaborative team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide interior design advice and product expertise
  • Facilitate tile and stone selection, and project development/support
  • Effectively communicate with customers and internal team members
  • Prospect for new business with an emphasis on Custom Builders and Residential Designers
  • Log all customer showroom visits/appointments and notes
  • Maintain showroom samples and merchandising
  • Ship customer examples as needed
  • Plan and host showroom tours and events
  • Attend outside trade events

Requirements

  • A four-year degree in a related field
  • Four years of related experience, or a combination of a two-year degree with two years of related experience
  • Sales/Customer engagement/Customer service experience
  • Design/sketching/reading blueprints/color coordination/interior design trends
  • Ability to approach unfamiliar situations and conceptualize innovative solutions
  • Computer skills – MS Office, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Customer management tools experience is a plus
  • Excellent oral, written, listening, and interpersonal communication skills
