About the role

  • Purchaser managing Non Food articles for Dohle Handelsgruppe. Responsible for strategic purchasing, supplier negotiations, and market analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the strategic and operational procurement of non‑food items for the stores — from assortment planning to product availability.
  • Develop purchasing strategies focused on price stability, quality and supply security, and independently negotiate with suppliers through to contract conclusion.
  • Monitor the market, analyze trends and identify new sourcing channels and products to optimize the assortment.
  • Ensure demand‑driven and timely availability of assigned items, taking inventory and sales data into account.
  • Maintain master data in the merchandise management system, manage contracts and monitor quantity agreements.
  • Work closely with suppliers and internal departments (e.g., Sales, Logistics, Marketing) to ensure smooth processes across the supply chain.
  • Handle complaints professionally and with a solutions‑oriented approach — both internally and with external partners.
  • Regularly prepare reports, compile decision‑making materials and support assortment and purchasing decisions.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed commercial training or a degree in business administration — ideally with a focus on purchasing, retail or supply chain management.
  • 2–3 years of professional experience in strategic or operational purchasing, preferably in non‑food products or multi‑site retail.
  • Strong negotiation skills and confident presence when dealing with suppliers.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, solution‑oriented approach and the ability to maintain an overview of complex tasks.
  • Excellent analytical skills and structured working methods.
  • Proficient in Excel and common ERP systems.
  • Enjoy working in a team and improving processes.
  • Strong communication skills, initiative and an independent working style.
