Responsibilities
Responsible for the strategic and operational procurement of non‑food items for the stores — from assortment planning to product availability.
Develop purchasing strategies focused on price stability, quality and supply security, and independently negotiate with suppliers through to contract conclusion.
Monitor the market, analyze trends and identify new sourcing channels and products to optimize the assortment.
Ensure demand‑driven and timely availability of assigned items, taking inventory and sales data into account.
Maintain master data in the merchandise management system, manage contracts and monitor quantity agreements.
Work closely with suppliers and internal departments (e.g., Sales, Logistics, Marketing) to ensure smooth processes across the supply chain.
Handle complaints professionally and with a solutions‑oriented approach — both internally and with external partners.
Regularly prepare reports, compile decision‑making materials and support assortment and purchasing decisions.
Requirements
Successfully completed commercial training or a degree in business administration — ideally with a focus on purchasing, retail or supply chain management.
2–3 years of professional experience in strategic or operational purchasing, preferably in non‑food products or multi‑site retail.
Strong negotiation skills and confident presence when dealing with suppliers.
Entrepreneurial mindset, solution‑oriented approach and the ability to maintain an overview of complex tasks.
Excellent analytical skills and structured working methods.
Proficient in Excel and common ERP systems.
