About the role

  • Engagement Manager and Principal leading M&A projects and managing consulting teams for Oliver Wyman, a global management consulting firm.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team through an efficient and effective problem-solving process from initial thought process through convergence on a solution
  • Ensure that recommendations are correct, practical, sensible, relevant, and cohesive
  • Manage a team of consultants, and face off to senior clients to share insights and recommendations
  • Support on all types of transaction, including M&A, carve-outs, and joint-ventures
  • Take initiative in identifying new and expanded opportunities and building business

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm, Transaction Services focused advisor, or top-tier Investment Bank
  • Proven track record and expertise with extensive deal lifecycle experience
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills and ability to conduct and leverage sophisticated analyses to identify trends, draw conclusions and present recommendations
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settings
  • Fluency in English and German is required
  • Willingness to travel
  • Know how to take the initiative, seeking out opportunities to learn new skills and put the ones you’ve already got to good use
  • Not just intelligence, but creativity too: you’ll be ready to come up with novel ideas to solve our clients’ biggest problems
  • Have an aptitude for analytical work, like sniffing out clues in massive data sets or hunting down the key issues in a hugely complex challenge
