About the role

• Quality Assurance Analyst ensuring quality of banking systems in a Mainframe environment at Minsait. Collaborating with development teams to identify and resolve defects while documenting test processes.

Responsibilities

• Work in quality assurance (QA) for banking systems in a Mainframe environment.
• Design, execute, and monitor test plans, scenarios, and test cases (functional and regression).
• Perform tests on COBOL systems (online and batch).
• Validate CICS, DB2 and JCL routines, ensuring data and process integrity.
• Support requirements analysis, business rules review, and assessment of system impacts.
• Collaborate with development teams and functional areas to identify and resolve defects.
• Monitor deployments, user acceptance testing (UAT), and fixes in the production environment.
• Ensure compliance with quality, security, and governance standards in the banking environment.
• Document evidence and test results, and track the defect lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior QA in a banking environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong experience with Mainframe systems.
• Solid knowledge of COBOL, CICS, DB2 and JCL, with a focus on testing.
• Experience testing online and batch systems.
• Experience with functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Experience with test documentation and defect tracking.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban).
