About the role

  • Senior QA Manager directing quality assurance and project life cycle delivery for global engineering company. Leading teams in ensuring compliance with project deliverables and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage the full project-life cycle
  • Set standards for assignments and applications
  • Responsible for the delivery of the defined work packages to the client
  • Provide effective management to teams and give guidance to key business users
  • Develop strategies and directs teams with diverse scope
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets
  • Use project planning tools and participate in the identification of and planning for future resource needs
  • Responsible for overall test plan design and processes
  • Specify the test environment for whole life-cycle testing
  • Consult with key business stakeholders
  • Allocate and co-ordinate test schedules, work and resource plans
  • Provide quality assurance evaluation estimates on various projects
  • Diagnose problems and propose multiple potential solutions
  • Create quality assurance procedures and user instructions
  • Define and implement quality process improvements and metrics focused on defect prevention
  • Advise on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects or release level

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • ISTQB Advanced advantageous
  • Additional course or certification in Quality Assurance
  • Project Management qualification
  • Excellent client-facing skills
  • People management skills - introducing and building ways in which people can learn from each other, encouraging mentoring and the transfer of knowledge by designing and delivering learning interventions
  • Team work and emotional intelligence
  • Good self-management – continuous performance is both a goal and a mind-set
