About the role
- Programming Automation Engineer developing PLC software based on process documentation for global projects in the metals industry. Commissioning systems worldwide and preparing technical documentation utilizing Microsoft tools.
Responsibilities
- Development of the PLC software based on process documentation (P&I diagram, functional description, etc.)
- Preparation of the technical documentation of the project (automation systems) using MsOffice tools (Word, Excel)
- Commissioning of the automation system on the customer site (worldwide)
Requirements
- Higher technical education, preferably automation, robotics, drive technology
- Automation experience of one of the following areas: iron making plants, electric arc furnace, ladle furnace, water treatment plant, material handling systems.
- Programming skills, configuration of the PLC based systems (preferred Siemens)
- Ability to analyze and read electrical drawings
- Knowledge of industrial networks (Ethernet, Profibus, Profinet, EthernetIP)
- Good knowledge of English language
- Availability for frequent worldwide trips
- Nice to have: Experience of commissioning of automation system
- Experience in working in an international team
- Ability to communicate in other languages, especially German
- Knowledge of the PCS7 system and APL library
- Knowledge of visualization systems (preferred Siemens WinCC)
