Responsibilities
Oversee the daily activities of the workshop, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Scheduling maintenance and repair work, managing workflow, and allocating tasks to technicians based on their skills and job complexity.
Motivating and leading a team effectively.
Conflict resolution and people management skills.
Conducting performance reviews, providing training, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Motivating the team and ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest technologies and repair techniques.
Hands-on proficiency with industry-specific environmental inspection equipment, software, and consumables.
Engaging with customers to provide estimates for work, explain repairs and services, and address any concerns or complaints.
Clear and concise communication with staff and other departments.
Maintaining an inventory of parts and equipment, ordering supplies as needed and ensuring that all tools and machinery are functioning properly.
Developing and enforcing health and safety policies, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial management, or a related field is desired.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with offshore/subsea inspection equipment, rentals and sales of offshore/subsea inspection equipment or environmental workshop experience in management.
Industry-specific networking and skills is highly desired
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, as well as organizational and time management skills.
Exceptional Organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient with industry and rentals and sales software (such as NetSuite, HubSpot, CompuCal, Flex Solutions, or the like) .
