About the role
- Associate Legal Counsel providing strategic legal advice and regulatory compliance at Satispay. Collaborating with diverse teams and driving product initiatives in the fintech sector.
Responsibilities
- Drive strategic initiatives across product development, regulatory compliance, and business operations.
- Serve as the primary legal point of contact for investment and payment-related matters.
- Provide strategic legal advice, fostering innovation, and ensuring regulatory compliance across Satispay’s diverse offerings.
- Play the role of strategic product counsel throughout the lifecycle of new product and feature development, from ideation to market launch.
- Partner with business teams to create groundbreaking services by developing innovative legal solutions that balance business needs with risk management.
- Draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including partnerships, vendor contracts, terms of service, and other customer-facing documentation.
- Work closely with the Compliance department to ensure products and services align with applicable financial regulations.
- Proactively monitor regulatory developments and emerging trends, assessing their implications for the business.
Requirements
- You are a lawyer with at least 5 years of experience in advising on financial regulations and customer-facing products, ideally with experience in tech innovation applied to e-money or MiFID services.
- You can take smart risks and provide strategic advice, aligning regulatory requirements with business objectives.
- You can immerse yourself in the technical and product aspects with high curiosity and are willing to find innovative customer-facing features while balancing legal risks effectively.
- You are skilled in drafting and negotiating complex agreements with a strong understanding of regulatory considerations.
- You are confident in making sound decisions even in situations of ambiguity or with incomplete information.
- You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to advise and influence senior management and engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
- You excel in dynamic, fast-paced environments, demonstrating the ability to quickly adjust to shifting challenges and priorities.
- You are fluent in English; knowledge of Italian is a plus.
