About the role
- Controller managing financial reporting and analysis for international events and trade fairs. Collaborating with internal teams for budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate our trade fair and event operations, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting
- Collaborate closely with relevant departments and business units to shape objectives and processes effectively
- Prepare regular reports for a variety of stakeholders to ensure transparency and provide management tools
- Prepare monthly financial statements and periodic reporting for CSG as a subsidiary of Messe Berlin
- Develop profitability analyses and produce decision papers
- Prepare business planning and medium-term planning
- Support commercial matters such as debt collection and procurement, etc.
Requirements
- Completed degree in business administration with a focus on controlling or an equivalent qualification
- Alternatively, equivalent qualifications obtained through vocational training with relevant professional experience
- Very good knowledge of all areas of corporate accounting and several years of practical experience in this field
- German language skills at least C1 / business fluent required
- Good knowledge of MS 365 and SAP
- English skills are an advantage
