Senior Credit Controller managing receivables for DLA Piper, an international law firm. Ensuring compliance with credit policies and collaboration with partners to meet financial KPIs.
Responsibilities
Collection of receivables in accordance with the firm’s international credit policy to ensure achievement of both global and local cash collection targets
Maintain accurate and meaningful information in the system to correctly reflect current receivables for internal reporting
Identify and promptly resolve discrepancies in cooperation with internal and external clients, consistently following agreed escalation steps and levels
Ensure a high standard of client service
Collaborate with and support partners in all aspects of credit and receivables management to ensure the achievement of corporate and personal KPIs
Conduct detailed analysis of the receivables portfolio against targets and objectives for management, as required
Prepare timely and accurate reports
Support management with ad hoc tasks and/or team projects
Monitor the group mailbox and work within agreed guidelines
Provide training within the Credit Control team and assist with team leadership in coordination with the Billing & Collection Manager
Requirements
Completed commercial vocational training or comparable qualification
Relevant experience in receivables management in a target-driven environment with the ability to proactively deliver results
Experience in an international law firm or professional services is desirable
Initial experience in team leadership is desirable
Strong Excel skills
Experience with SAP or a bespoke receivables system is advantageous but not mandatory
Fluent German and strong English skills
Strong communication and persuasion skills
