About the role
- Linux Administrator optimizing cloud and on-premises infrastructures at MERKUR BETS. Responsible for system performance, security, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Plan, operate and monitor hybrid infrastructure (cloud/on-premises)
- Develop and document best-practice procedures for deployment and maintenance
- Drive continuous monitoring and optimization of system performance and resource utilization
- Increase automation and migrate to Infrastructure as Code
- Containerize and automate workflows and products
- Strengthen overall security, with a focus on endpoint protection
- Monitor industry developments and new technologies to proactively improve infrastructure efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, reliable architectures
Requirements
- Experience supporting operational server systems
- LPIC, Ansible, Terraform, or Kubernetes certifications preferred
- Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure; interest in Kubernetes or specialization in configuration management
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git
- Advanced Linux skills
- Good English skills; conversational German is a plus
