About the role

  • Assistant Chief Engineer ensuring hotel maintenance standards and daily operational tasks. Overseeing repairs, ensuring functionality, and guest satisfaction in a leading hospitality group.

Responsibilities

  • Daily inspection of all areas of the hotel.
  • Carrying out repair work.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of outdoor areas.
  • Ensuring compliance with Meliá maintenance standards.
  • Checking the functionality of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Managing and optimizing energy costs.
  • Compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Adherence to fire safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Highly motivated and a strong team player.
  • Enjoys interacting with guests.
  • Enjoys working in a team.
  • Flexible and able to cope with pressure.
  • Business-fluent German.
  • Small electrical authorization ("Kleiner E‑Schein") preferred but not required.
  • Good manners and a well-groomed appearance.
