About the role
- Principal Talent Acquisition Specialist driving recruitment efforts for Medtronic's Medical Surgical business across the U.S. Collaborating with hiring leaders to attract top talent for healthcare innovation.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with hiring managers to define job requirements, competencies, and salary recommendations while negotiating offers with candidates.
- Evaluating candidates’ qualifications, including education, experience, skills, knowledge and motivational fit, to ensure the best match for each role.
- Sourcing top talent through various channels, including social media, career fairs, and contractor networks, to maintain a steady flow of qualified candidates.
- Conducting candidate screens and interviews to identify exceptional talent.
- Managing the applicant tracking system and generating/using reports and metrics to guide decision-making.
- Providing outstanding candidate care throughout the recruitment process.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing creative solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, or an advanced degree with 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Current experience recruiting at Medtronic, preferably within the Medical Surgical portfolio.
- Previous experience recruiting for Robotics commercial and non-commercial roles with an expertise sourcing Engineering talent.
- Demonstrated ability consistently serving as a strategic talent advisor, with previous experience providing actionable insights and recommendations to hiring managers to enhance the hiring process.
- Proven ability to stay highly organized and prioritize effectively while managing a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment, ensuring seamless coordination and attention to detail – helping MDT compete to win top talent.
- Knowledge of employment regulations, including EEO, AAP, and OFCCP compliance.
- Proficiency with a variety of talent acquisition systems such as Workday Recruit and LinkedIn.
- HR/TA certifications.
- Expertise in inclusive sourcing practices using a variety of recruitment channels.
