Principal Talent Acquisition Specialist driving recruitment efforts for Medtronic's Medical Surgical business across the U.S. Collaborating with hiring leaders to attract top talent for healthcare innovation.
Responsibilities
Collaborating with hiring managers to define job requirements, competencies, and salary recommendations while negotiating offers with candidates.
Evaluating candidates’ qualifications, including education, experience, skills, knowledge and motivational fit, to ensure the best match for each role.
Sourcing top talent through various channels, including social media, career fairs, and contractor networks, to maintain a steady flow of qualified candidates.
Conducting candidate screens and interviews to identify exceptional talent.
Managing the applicant tracking system and generating/using reports and metrics to guide decision-making.
Providing outstanding candidate care throughout the recruitment process.
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing creative solutions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, or an advanced degree with 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Current experience recruiting at Medtronic, preferably within the Medical Surgical portfolio.
Previous experience recruiting for Robotics commercial and non-commercial roles with an expertise sourcing Engineering talent.
Demonstrated ability consistently serving as a strategic talent advisor, with previous experience providing actionable insights and recommendations to hiring managers to enhance the hiring process.
Proven ability to stay highly organized and prioritize effectively while managing a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment, ensuring seamless coordination and attention to detail – helping MDT compete to win top talent.
Knowledge of employment regulations, including EEO, AAP, and OFCCP compliance.
Proficiency with a variety of talent acquisition systems such as Workday Recruit and LinkedIn.
HR/TA certifications.
Expertise in inclusive sourcing practices using a variety of recruitment channels.
