About the role

  • Demand Planner in Inventory Management division at Medline. Utilizing analytics for demand forecasting and supporting supply chain improvements based in Illinois.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing data insights and analytical support for the demand forecast
  • Lead the monthly S&OP Demand Review meetings
  • Analyze statistical forecast exceptions
  • Develop, monitor, and communicate reports on changes and forecast accuracy
  • Work with business unit leadership to generate a consensus demand plan
  • Assess the impact of promotions and events on demand

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BS/MS in supply chain, engineering, operations management, or math/economics desired)
  • At least 2 years of prior experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, procurement, or manufacturing operations
  • Hands-on experience with modeling, forecasting, analysis and simulation tools
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Data gathering and quantitative and qualitative data analysis
  • Knowledge of forecasting processes in sales, marketing operations, finance and manufacturing
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once
