Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for press inquiries.
  • Draft press releases, briefings, statements and speeches.
  • Prepare and accompany press meetings and interviews.
  • Build media contacts and maintain the network.
  • Support the strategic planning, conception and implementation of communication measures.
  • Work closely with internal specialist departments to prepare complex topics for the public and the media.
  • Implement topics across digital channels and strengthen presence on LinkedIn.
  • Conceptually and organizationally prepare and execute events.
  • Collaboratively further develop the communications strategy.
  • Maintain an overview of all communication activities and ensure smooth implementation.

Requirements

  • Completed master's degree (or equivalent) — ideally in communication studies, journalism, media studies or political science.
  • Several years of professional experience in press offices, editorial teams, communications agencies or communications departments.
  • Ideally, experience in project management.
  • Strong understanding of (media) politics, digital media and current public debates.
  • Excellent written communication skills and a good sense for audience-targeted messaging.
  • Ability to convey complex content clearly, precisely and understandably.
  • High resilience, confident demeanor, ability to work independently and strong team spirit.
  • Communicative presence and enjoyment of collaborative work.
