Director of public fundraising at Médecins du Monde, managing campaigns and leading a team to ensure financial sustainability. Collaborating across departments to drive impactful fundraising strategies.
Responsibilities
Develop the three-year fundraising strategy, aligned with the association's overall financing strategy
Define objectives by channel and the associated investments
Translate this strategic vision into annual action plans
Prepare, monitor and adjust annual fundraising budgets
Track results and analyze variances
Alert and propose adjustments in case of significant deviations
Develop new fundraising levers and test new approaches
Drive the evolution of tools, techniques and organizational structures
Maintain active monitoring of nonprofit sector practices and direct marketing
Line-manage four heads of units (360 Marketing, Innovations, Data, Donor Relations)
Lead a department of 20 people with complementary expertise
Promote cooperation, skills development and role adaptation
Represent fundraising in internal bodies (steering committee, working groups)
Actively participate in Médecins du Monde networks and sector bodies (France Générosités, AFF, CNFF…)
Requirements
Master's degree in Marketing (business school or university)
At least 10 years' experience in fundraising or direct marketing
Strong command of multichannel fundraising techniques and budgetary issues
Proven experience managing large teams
Comfortable with strategy and decision-making
Strong numerical skills and experience with budgetary exercises
Fluent in English
Proficient in Microsoft Office
