About the role
- Quality Manager overseeing product quality programs for Raw Sugar. Ensure adherence at Contract Manufacturers and enhance quality management standards in a hybrid workplace.
Responsibilities
- Lead the further development and enhancement of the Quality Management program
- Manage the product quality program for Raw Sugar
- Ensure adherence at all Contract Manufacturers and 3PL partners
- Oversee and direct the work of Quality staff in connection to manufacturing and distribution partners
- Provide technical support to Operations, Marketing, and Product Development
- Monitor enforcement of cGMPs and SOPs within Raw Sugar department
- Establish SOPs to close process gaps
- Work closely with Operations and Innovation to establish standards
- Develop and implement Pre-Delivery Sampling (PDS) system
- Manage finished goods and product evaluation and functional testing
- Conduct vendor evaluations of all Contract Manufacturers
- Generate and publish Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
Requirements
- Bachelor in a science field, Quality area preferred
- 3-5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing management environment
- Experience in personal care contract manufacturing a plus
- Strong business management skills and manufacturing management experience
- Knowledge of GMP, Statistical sampling, processes/testing procedures
- Experience creating and implementing SOPs and process guidelines
- Must have basic computer skills (Excel and Word)
- NetSuite or other ERP/data system experience a plus
- Ability to multi-task and change priorities as required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills
- Ability to be self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
