About the role

  • Community manager and digital project leader for Médecins du Monde. Driving engagement and communication strategy across social media platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Define an editorial calendar and ensure its implementation
  • Write and produce innovative, dynamic content tailored to the norms of each platform, drawing on Médecins du Monde’s news, themes and missions
  • Animate, moderate and grow communities on X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, notably using Meltwater
  • Create, monitor and optimize promotional campaigns (Facebook Ads)
  • Propose and implement special sequences and formats to support the organization’s key communication and advocacy moments
  • Contribute to Médecins du Monde’s digital diversification and innovation by proposing new concepts
  • Work with the head of the digital unit and the team to develop Médecins du Monde’s influencer strategy on social media
  • Develop, retain and unite interest communities aligned with Médecins du Monde’s causes
  • Support Médecins du Monde staff in building their social media presence: briefings, training, technical support, content promotion, etc.
  • Take part in donor accountability initiatives: showcasing partnerships, supporting programs in donor communications, monitoring proposed communication plans, etc.
  • Monitor digital innovation and follow the latest trends, new use cases, tools and applications
  • Track and analyze social media communications, interpret statistics and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Produce internal analysis and recommendation documents and contribute to the team’s reflection on optimizing digital reporting
  • Set up and monitor ad hoc and specific monitoring (emergencies and crisis communication)
  • Work on the Médecins du Monde website, in collaboration with the webmaster / digital project manager, to design, publish or modify online content
  • Participate in creating a variety of content to showcase Médecins du Monde’s actions and causes (articles, editorials, visuals, graphics)
  • Take part in the general activity and strategic discussions of the digital unit and the communications department

Requirements

  • You hold a higher education degree in communication, journalism, political science or international relations
  • You have at least 3 years of professional experience in a similar role
  • You have previous experience in the nonprofit or humanitarian sectors
  • You are recognised for your strong writing skills and impeccable spelling
  • You have an excellent knowledge of social media and are fully proficient in content creation
  • You have solid general knowledge and a good understanding of international relations
  • You are comfortable with video editing (PlayPlay, Canva, Premiere Pro) and have good desktop publishing (DTP) skills
