About the role

  • Senior Accountant handling financial accounting tasks in a hybrid role at MCI Deutschland GmbH. Focused on financial reporting and ensuring compliance with HGB standards in Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Active posting in sub-ledgers (vendor and customer invoices)
  • Significant support in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements in accordance with HGB
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Balance sheet analysis and account reconciliations

Requirements

  • Successfully completed vocational training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellter) with further qualification as a certified accountant/balance sheet accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter), tax specialist (Steuerfachwirt) or equivalent
  • Initial experience in team leadership is desirable
  • Very good knowledge of tax law and HGB
  • Excellent German language skills (written and spoken) and good English skills
  • Relevant experience with SAP
  • Strong self-organization and excellent time management
  • We expect a strong numerical focus, attention to detail and reliability
