About the role

  • Commercial Analyst responsible for managing product cycles and supplier relations at MASP. Ensuring operational efficiency and sales targets for the cultural institution.

Responsibilities

  • Management of purchases for MASP’s owned product line and other products acquired directly, invoiced, or on consignment (handicrafts, design pieces, books, and other partnerships), ensuring execution of managerial and curatorial decisions and adaptation to the museum’s thematic axes and temporary exhibitions;
  • Supplier contact and relationship management, including prospecting, commercial negotiation, and follow-up;
  • Entry of purchase orders into the ERP system and proper monitoring of the process to prevent stockouts;
  • Responding to potential partners by communicating the museum’s terms, compiling materials for management meetings, and informing partners of acceptance or rejection of partnerships;
  • Issuance and monitoring of symbolic invoices for sales of consigned products;
  • Sales volume analysis using daily reports extracted from the system;
  • Turnover and coverage analysis to prepare orders and prevent stock ruptures;
  • Stock monitoring, including receipts, issues, and balances (maintaining inventory health and diversifying the product mix);
  • Defining and applying product pricing in alignment with managers and institutional guidelines;
  • Pricing and margin evaluation with appropriate adjustments;
  • Product registration and updates in the system, including descriptions and attributes, as well as verification of NCM codes and tax profile;
  • Supplier registration and validation through checks on official sites to confirm registration and fiscal compliance;
  • Proper maintenance of the database, standardizing records, updating prices, and tracking promotional actions or adjustments;
  • Assistance in developing new products for MASP’s owned line to maintain a diversified mix with healthy net margins consistent with the collection/temporary exhibitions;
  • Communication with suppliers;
  • Completion and monitoring of briefs for the Communications/Design area;
  • Requesting and tracking samples;
  • Requesting adjustments with the internal team and suppliers;
  • Interface with involved departments (Curatorial, Editorial, Communications, Design);
  • Identification and organization of fiscal documentation for forwarding to the responsible team;
  • Requesting and following up on corrections with suppliers and the internal team;
  • Development of daily reports that compile contributions from key departments, their major subdivisions, and potential development opportunities;
  • Serving as a decision-support source by compiling store performance data;
  • Organization and analysis of the sales and performance database;
  • Participation in meetings about third-party products (handicrafts, design, and other seasonal partnerships) or event participation to execute management decisions, ensuring defined priorities, compiling information, identifying commercial terms, and seeking alignment with the museum’s format (deadlines, payment terms, etc.).

Requirements

  • Technical courses, a degree in a related field (Business Administration, Economics, Production Engineering, Information Technology, etc.), or deep experience in the segment;
  • Proven experience with consignment, purchasing, and inventory. Data analysis for decision-making with the team, negotiation with suppliers, sales monitoring, adjustment of minimum stock levels, turnover, margin, and ordering/replenishment scheduling;
  • Experience in purchasing;
  • Preferred:
  • Experience in product production and development;
  • Experience with segments worked by MASP Shop and e-commerce is a plus: handicrafts, design, souvenirs (pencils, magnets, postcards, notebooks, etc.);
  • Management of a supplier portfolio (printers, distributors, warehouses);
  • Experience with ERP Microsiga Protheus or other integrated management systems;
  • Intermediate knowledge of tax issues related to buying and selling;
  • Intermediate/advanced Excel;
