About the role
- Operational Risk & Resilience Manager overseeing governance and risk management activities in the financial services sector. Collaborating with multiple businesses to enhance operational risk awareness.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in providing effective oversight and challenge over risk domains and governance activities performed by business owners
- Evaluate and identify non-compliance with standard requirements and escalate to direct managers
- Evaluate and recommend new controls where gaps have been identified
- Review and assess incidents and operational loss events, perform root cause analysis
- Perform thematic reviews across businesses and/or segments and raise potential enterprise level problems or issues
Requirements
- Broad knowledge of financial services/insurance business and related products
- Strong knowledge of operational risk management
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in operational risk management or related fields
- Knowledge of operational risk domains
- Strong professional skepticism, detail-oriented with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to quickly understand business processes and their risk implications
- Results-oriented with a focus on quality
- Solid written and oral communication skills
- Strong influencing skills
- High proficiency in MS Office Products and data analytics tools is a PLUS
- Self-starter with the ability to work with little guidance.
