About the role

  • Assistant Project Manager at Manchester Airport supporting the delivery of construction projects. Collaborating with teams to ensure projects are delivered safely and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of construction projects within the Major Programmes function
  • Work closely with senior project managers, site teams, and stakeholders
  • Assist with day‑to‑day project coordination, scheduling, and reporting
  • Support procurement of materials, subcontractors, and services
  • Monitor progress on site and help resolve issues that could impact programme or budget
  • Maintain project documentation, drawings, and compliance records
  • Contribute to risk assessments, method statements, and quality checks
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to keep communication clear and consistent

Requirements

  • Previous experience within construction, project coordination or a related field
  • CSCS card (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to interpret drawings and technical information
