Responsibilities
Facilitate the delivery of technology solutions for a wide-ranging portfolio of exciting local and global projects.
Lead the delivery of data projects using agile methodologies, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and technical requirements.
Responsible for leading the delivery of data-focused initiatives across Specsavers ANZ, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and the broader data strategy.
Manage scope, timelines and quality standards, while driving the effective execution of prioritised backlogs in line with business objectives and technical requirements.
Requirements
Proven track record in leading data-centric IT projects through the full project lifecycle—from initiation to transition to support—including planning, stakeholder engagement, backlog prioritisation, and delivery monitoring (At least 5 years is essential)
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams including Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Business Analysts, Test Analysts and Reporting Analysts, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical execution.
Experience managing software development and data platform initiatives, including exposure to technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Power BI.
Deep knowledge of agile delivery methodologies, with hands-on experience in agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, and sprint planning for data initiatives.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships and translate complex data concepts into business-friendly language.
Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies & best practice and have worked in agile delivery methods
Formal project management qualifications are desirable (e.g., Prince2, Agile), especially where applied to data transformation or analytics initiatives.
