Responsibilities
Design, improve and validate automotive products and components
Ensure performance, quality, reliability and compliance with customers' and company technical requirements
Serve as a technical reference: conduct analyses, testing, customer interactions and interface with global stakeholders
Lead improvements and innovations in existing and in-development products
Execute design changes and project evolutions, ensuring technical compliance and traceability
Conduct product-related failure analyses, identify root causes and define corrective and preventive actions
Define validation plans and monitor tests, laboratory testing and numerical simulations
Conduct DFMEA, critical characteristics analyses, GD&T and tolerance definition
Ensure compliance with automotive quality tools and processes such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA and problem-solving methodologies
Collaborate with cross-functional areas to ensure deadlines, costs, technical requirements and performance targets are met
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Production/Industrial Engineering or related fields
Active CREA registration (Brazilian engineering council)
Desired experience in product development within the auto parts segment, preferably engine peripherals (valve covers, intake manifold) or automotive filtration systems
Experience with plastic injection-molded products, thermoplastic materials and sealing components
Experience with air and fluid management systems and filtration processes
Advanced English, with the ability to lead meetings and technical interactions with global teams
Proficiency in automotive quality tools such as FMEA, APQP, PPAP and investigative methodologies such as 8D
Desired experience in CAD design analysis and interpretation of CAE calculations
Availability to travel and to work on-site in Jundiaí, SP
