Vendor Manager at Long View managing telecom vendors and ensuring seamless operations for a regulated enterprise client. Leading governance and lifecycle coordination across various telecom services in Edmonton.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary liaison between our client, Long View, and telecom vendors, ensuring seamless communication and accountability
Manage carrier relationships and contracts administered by Long View on our client's behalf
Oversee contract transitions, renewals, and vendor onboarding/offboarding in compliance with regulatory requirements
Maintain vendor accountability for SLA performance, escalation handling, and service restoration
Own lifecycle management of circuits and telephony services, including adds, changes, and decommissioning
Keep accurate inventory of circuits, services, and dependencies across WAN, fiber, and voice platforms
Partner with Network Operations and Service Transition teams to support provisioning, incident resolution, and change execution
Analyze carrier pricing models and contract terms to secure best-in-market pricing and identify cost optimization opportunities
Validate carrier invoices, resolve billing discrepancies, and support clean chargeback/rebill processes with Finance and Procurement
Monitor SLA performance, lead escalations during service-impacting events, and enforce contractual remedies where applicable
Produce operational and executive-level reporting on vendor performance, cost trends, risks, and optimization opportunities
Requirements
7+ years experience in telecommunications, ISP, or network vendor management, preferably in a regulated or enterprise environment
Strong understanding of carrier contracts, SLAs, pricing models, and circuit provisioning
Understanding of service coordination for move, adds and changes
Demonstrated experience supporting commercial negotiations or renewals with ISPs or telecom providers
Proven ability to manage escalations and multi-vendor environments
Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to interpret pricing, contracts, and invoices.
