About the role
- Data Analyst focusing on tax projections and optimization for Localiza&Co operations in Brazil. Requires experience in financial modeling and data analysis with a relevant degree.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present tax-related projections;
- Contribute to optimizing the group companies' tax burden by providing data for studies and corporate/tax planning;
- Assist in guiding the internal team and IT in implementing new systems/tools;
- Identify system needs, define tax-related concepts and rules to optimize usage in fiscal and governance routines, proposing and executing tests to validate data;
- Assist in optimizing/restructuring tax calculation and review procedures in accordance with applicable/current legislation, maintaining proper calculation records and ensuring correct payment/compensation;
- Automate processes for amendments and compliance with tax-related ancillary obligations, ensuring governance of submissions and archiving within legal deadlines;
- Support improvements to the accounting reconciliation processes for all taxes, ensuring governance and that entries comply with legislation;
- Monitor, control and appropriately manage tax credits (withholdings, negative balances, deferred taxes, tax losses, etc.);
- Create agents and develop the use of AI for monitoring, analysis and applying the effects of changes in tax legislation on Localiza&Co operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Administration, Engineering, Economics, Accounting, Law, Controllership and Finance, or related fields;
- Experience with financial projections/modeling and tax calculations (preferred);
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in tools such as advanced Excel, Power BI, Power Query, Python, RStudio, SQL, Alteryx, SAP S/4HANA and ECC, Guepardo, among others;
- Previous experience in strategy, finance, technology consultancies or audit firms is a plus;
- Sharp analytical reasoning and data-driven decision-making;
- Proactivity, ownership mindset and results orientation;
- Ability to work in dynamic environments with multiple priorities and stakeholders;
- Good communication, influence and negotiation skills;
- Strategic vision with a strong execution focus.
