HSE Manager ensuring workplace safety and health regulations for logistics activities. Collaborating with management and employees to develop a unified HSE culture.
Responsibilities
Ensure occupational safety and health in accordance with Section 6 of the German Occupational Safety Act (ASiG) and actively develop a consistent HSE culture across our sites
Advise and support management and supervisors in implementing legal requirements (e.g. ISO 9001, 14001, 27001) as well as energy and sustainability initiatives
Serve as the central point of contact for employees, managers and appointed company safety officers (e.g. safety, fire protection, waste and dangerous goods officers)
Organize, conduct and moderate ASA (Occupational Safety Committee) meetings, committees, training sessions and internal audits
Create, maintain and continuously improve HSE-related documentation such as risk assessments, work instructions, training materials and hazardous substance registers
Conduct safety and health evaluations of projects, technical equipment and work processes, including accident, risk and ergonomic analyses
Collaborate and communicate with external organizations such as statutory accident insurance institutions (Berufsgenossenschaften), authorities, testing bodies and service providers
Requirements
Completed vocational training or university degree; further training as a Safety Specialist (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit, SiFa) is desirable
Initial professional experience in occupational safety, environmental and health protection, ideally in a logistics or industrial environment
Structured and careful working style to reliably implement HSE processes, documentation and measures
Strong communication and advisory skills when dealing with management, employees and external partners
High safety awareness and sense of responsibility, with the ability to identify risks and develop practical solutions
Very good German language skills, both written and spoken; additional language skills are an advantage
Confident user of common MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
