About the role

  • Global Pricing Manager at Linklaters implementing pricing strategy to maximize margin and recovery. Leading team in financial modeling and fee negotiations with client partners.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management and implementation of the firm’s pricing strategy in line with overall business objectives.
  • Ensure pricing strategies are robust, comply with regulatory requirements and align with internal profitability targets and policy, collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in global fee deal negotiations, setting out and agreeing opening, acceptable, and alternative positions with client partners.
  • Deliver practical pricing recommendations and insights that reflect commercial considerations and support strategic priorities.
  • Lead quantitative analysis and financial modelling projects to generate insights for price-setting, taking risk profile and market factors into account.
  • Continuously enhance pricing processes to meet evolving business needs, including training lawyers and business teams, reporting, and monitoring pricing performance.
  • Oversee reporting systems to track pricing outcomes, including automation opportunities; manage pricing research initiatives to improve understanding of margin, risk, and profitability drivers.
  • Develop commercial strategies in partnership with stakeholders to help achieve internal margin targets.
  • Shape pricing market cadence by analysing competitive intelligence and adopting best practice in technology and artificial intelligence for fee modelling.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, set and implement team goals, and provide ongoing professional guidance.

Requirements

  • At least five years’ leadership experience in a finance or pricing function within a global professional services or corporate environment, ideally in the legal sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team delivering rigorous finance and audit activities, with experience in payroll functions.
  • Proven track record in global fee negotiation, and in analysing competitive intelligence in the legal market to inform risk and profitability management.
  • Strong commercial acumen, advanced skills in SAP and related analytics platforms, and fluency in business English.
  • Excellent communication skills, including presenting financial insights to senior stakeholders.
