About the role
- Head of Accounting overseeing financial operations for Light for the World, ensuring compliance and accuracy across international entities. Lead global consolidation and drive digital finance transformation with a strong focus.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance and organizational change readiness across all units.
- Lead monthly and year-end closings for the Global North entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to relevant GAAP standards.
- Consolidate financial data and ensure accurate intercompany reconciliations.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant or audit professional, ideally with expertise in Austrian GAAP and multi-entity reporting.
- Ideally 5+ years of leadership experience in accounting, preferably in a complex international environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting processes, compliance, and auditing standards, with hands-on experience leading audits.
- Experience in consolidation and external reporting, ideally across multiple geographies.
