About the role

  • Lead Electrical & Computer Engineer developing advanced maritime technologies at Leidos. Contributing to innovation in underwater vehicle systems supporting critical defense and national security missions.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to technical innovation and product improvements aligned with customer needs and mission goals.
  • Firmware & Software development for microcontrollers and FPGAs.
  • Circuit board level design of high reliability, high voltage (1kV or greater) DC/DC power systems.
  • Circuit board level design of simultaneously sampled remote analog data acquisition equipment.
  • Design of long-distance fiber optic telemetry systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • At least 4 years of experience with subsea maritime systems or other integrated electro-mechanical systems
  • Experience with design, prototype, production and test of multi-layer printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs)
  • Experience with FPGAs and MCUs
  • Functional literacy of Linux operating systems and ability to use basic command line tools
  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
  • Commitment to complete and accurate documentation of designs, procedures, analyses, and test results as part of the engineering deliverable.
