About the role
- Senior DevOps Engineer supporting Agile development teams building and deploying applications across various environments. Focused on secure, reliable, and automated software delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting Java, JavaScript, and Rust applications
- Support Agile development teams by automating build, test, deployment, and release processes
- Deploy and manage applications across cloud, on-premise, and edge computing environments
- Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Maintain and optimize containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (or equivalent orchestration platforms)
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure system availability and performance
- Collaborate with security teams to integrate DevSecOps practices into pipelines and infrastructure
- Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, and performance issues across distributed environments
- Improve system reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency through automation and best practices
- Contribute to documentation, standards, and operational playbooks
Requirements
- US Citizen with at least an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI prior to your start date
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 8+ years of professional experience or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience
- Strong experience supporting agile or Scrum-based development teams
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Experience deploying and supporting applications written in Java, JavaScript, and/or Rust
- Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and system administration
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes or similar)
- Experience managing hybrid environments (cloud + on-premise)
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar)
- Ability to work collaboratively with developers, QA, and security teams
