About the role

  • CI/CD Engineer responsible for the development and operation of CI/CD infrastructure at BG-Phoenics. Collaborating with teams to ensure performance and stability of digital solutions.

Responsibilities

  • You operate and develop the CI/CD infrastructure and automation solutions and ensure their stable operation.
  • You perform cross-platform troubleshooting, manage rollouts of software fixes, backups, recovery measures, and complex release changes.
  • You provide support as part of the incident resolution process and optimize environments for performance, availability, and stability.
  • Overall, you are responsible for the operation, monitoring, and support of the infrastructure for our phoenics environments.
  • You design and implement provisioning and deployment processes based on Linux systems, containers, and relevant tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, and Maven.
  • In addition, you review, develop, and maintain automation scripts for operations.
  • You independently design new solutions, optimize existing pipelines and environments, and thus contribute to the continuous improvement of performance, availability, and stability.
  • You work closely with business and operations teams, support technical changes, and serve as the central point of contact for CI/CD topics.

Requirements

  • You have a degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience and possess very good German language skills (C1).
  • You have solid experience with Jenkins, Ansible, Maven, Linux (RHEL), and container technologies (Kubernetes), and ideally database knowledge (Postgres).
  • You are proficient in using Git, Jira, virtualization, and application servers, and you are familiar with agile methods and ITIL processes.
  • You demonstrate strong communication skills, a high degree of personal responsibility, and solution-oriented behavior in complex operational environments; this may include occasional on-call duties during the week and/or on weekends.
