About the role
- Product Engineer responsible for developing technical information for automotive products at Lear Corporation. Ensuring compliance with manufacturing processes and engineering changes at the Chihuahua plant.
Responsibilities
- Obtains, analyzes, and provides the technical information required for the engineering changes proposed by the customer, manufacturing, or engineering.
- Load the technical information in the manufacturing systems QAD, UCS, LMI, etc.
- Ensure the accuracy of harness prints, bills of materials (BOM), cutsheets, visual aids and labor time.
- Ensure the updating and precision of bills of materials (BOM) according to engineering changes and manufacturing adjustments, as a result of "teardowns".
- Analyzes engineering change proposals and based on these prepares design change notifications (DCN) for the team.
- Prepares BOM change notification (BCN) to update BOM according to engineering changes and/or manufacturing adjustments.
- Create and design of packaging specifications for the finished goods.
- Create cost studies for each of the engineering changes proposed by the Customer.
- Generation and analysis of cost reduction ideas (CTO).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree on Industrial Engineering or related field
- 1 year of experience as Product Engineer in the automotive industry (Harness)
- Knowledge in AutoCAD
- Intermediate Microsoft Office, Excel
- Outstanding communication
- English proficient
