About the role

  • Account Executive managing client accounts for a healthcare insurance company. Responsible for client engagement, contract renewal, and proposal development while utilizing sales experience in insurance industry.

Responsibilities

  • Account Executive is responsible for the ongoing management of assigned clients.
  • Coordinate internally to facilitate the implementation of new or renewing accounts.
  • Identify marketplace opportunities, prospects and engage new clients.
  • Manage the renewal and contract process for clients.
  • Schedule and perform Quarterly in-person meetings with the Brokers and Clients throughout the year.
  • Serve as a resource to clients for current market condition and ongoing benefit regulation changes.
  • Track and review employer claims for appropriateness and payment.
  • May lead and mentor other team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of Account Manager or Account Executive sales experience in a healthcare insurance role
  • Valid Producer license in state worked in to be maintained
  • Advanced training in industry-related sales techniques preferred
  • Experience with benefit administration platforms such as Javelina preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and Diagnosis Codes (ICD-9 & ICD-10) is helpful.
  • Solid working knowledge of standard computer applications including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
