About the role

• Project Manager R&D managing chocolate development and production processes. Collaborating on quality control and project leadership in a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• You develop new couvertures and optimize existing formulations using small-scale conching machines and tempering equipment
• You conduct in-depth research and evaluation of raw materials and perform systematic quality controls, laboratory work, storage tests and sensory evaluations (tastings)
• You lead and manage projects and implement the development program both qualitatively and quantitatively, including daily scheduling and sequencing
• You provide technological support to production for couvertures and ensure compliance with quality specifications, hygiene, HACCP and safety regulations
• You optimize processes, equipment performance and capacity utilization while accounting for seasonal fluctuations, and deploy personnel and machinery resources efficiently
• You share responsibility for operational performance delivery and sustainable productivity in the couverture area according to targets
• You create and maintain documentation, handle patent filings and actively participate in the sensory team
• You take on advisory, training and moderation tasks related to chocolate expertise

Requirements

• You have at least 5 years of professional experience in the chocolate industry and in the efficient and timely execution of development projects
• You possess strong technical expertise in supporting quality optimizations and conducting rigorous quality controls
• You have proven experience implementing targeted measures to reduce scrap rates
• You have analytical skills in measuring and communicating process KPIs and initiate effective corrective actions when targets deviate
• You demonstrate strength in continuous process improvement and have a pronounced hands-on mentality
• You continuously expand your professional expertise through participation in external trainings and expert lectures
