  • Operations Manager overseeing manufacturing team for L3Harris in Rochester, NY. Responsible for safety, cost, quality, and productivity while leading continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safety, cost, quality, delivery, and productivity of a manufacturing team
  • Work closely with multiple functional areas to optimize material flow, equipment, and workforce requirements
  • Provide leadership to a department across multiple shifts, driving continuous improvement and removing waste and cost
  • Conduct extensive investigations to understand root cause of problems
  • Establish operational plans with measurable contributions towards the achievement of results

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 9 years prior relevant experience
  • Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience in Operations Management
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Able to apply a continuous improvement mindset to procedures and processes
  • Experience with planning and establishing operational objectives for a team with impact on department results
  • Understands management and lean approaches and has practical knowledge of job area
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools and Outlook
