Responsibilities
- Improve manufacturing processes by reducing variation and strengthening control.
- Analyze process capability, stability, and failure modes using data-driven methods.
- Develop and implement process improvements, controls, and mistake-proofing.
- Apply and sustain SPC to maintain process performance.
- Support APQP, PFMEA, control plans, and production readiness.
- Partner with operators, engineers, and supervisors to improve process understanding and ownership.
- Provide manufacturing process expertise to team-led improvement initiatives.
- Teach and coach teams on process discipline and quality fundamentals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 9 years of prior Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or Quality Engineering experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or Quality Engineering experience
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or Quality Engineering experience
- 4+ years experience improving manufacturing processes in a production environment
- 4+ years data analysis experience working with manufacturing data
- 4+ years experience teaching, coaching and mentoring others
- 2+ years APQP and Process Control experience
- Preferred Additional Skills: Experience in manufacturing and quality, preferably defense, aerospace, automotive, or similar industries. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or higher). Experience with SPC, PFMEA, control plans, and mistake-proofing. Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, or similar standards. Prior leadership experience with direct reports or strong cross-functional influence. Experience collaborating within a Microsoft 365 environment, with proficiency in the included applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
