About the role
- Head of Legal leading European team operations at KYOCERA AVX. Providing legal advice and managing compliance across various legal areas including contracts and corporate law.
Responsibilities
- Strategic leadership and development of a European legal team
- Legal counsel to the executive management and business units, with a focus on contract, corporate, employment, data protection and compliance law
- Contract management: review, drafting and negotiation of complex agreements with business partners
- Identification, assessment and mitigation of legal risks in an international business environment
- Monitoring of regulatory developments across Europe and advising management on legal implications
- Support for M&A initiatives, including legal due diligence and coordination of external law firms
- Assisting business units with compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements
- Design, delivery and continuous development of internal legal training and governance measures
Requirements
- Degree: Fully qualified lawyer (Volljurist) with both German state examinations or an equivalent qualification
- Several years of relevant professional experience in a comparable position or in a commercial law firm, ideally in an international environment
- Leadership experience in managing and developing a team
- Solid knowledge of corporate law and related legal fields
- Excellent written and spoken German and English
