About the role
- Contracts Specialist providing sales-related contract support to German-speaking business units in DACH and other European markets. Reviewing and negotiating agreements with a focus on compliance and risk analysis.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating agreements and transaction documents in compliance with applicable policies and legal and ethical standards, with minimal supervision
- Responding, within established guidelines, to customers’ RFP/RFQs, vendor qualification documents and contractual requests
- Aligning with customers using appropriate contractual language to reflect the business interests and policies of the parties
- Taking the Contracts Lead role on more complex projects and frame agreements as experience develops
- Working with customers, members of the legal team and other Emerson partners to bring deals to closure
- Analyzing business, financial, and legal risks
- Researching information on existing agreements and contractual programs, assisting with analysis and compiling data for reports
- Providing contract-related guidance to Sales, Project Management and other partners
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of professional background in a contracts-focused position
- Intermediate MS Office skills
- Excellent oral and written English and German language skills; Italian and other languages are an advantage
- Excellent negotiation skills
