About the role

  • Legal Counsel managing legal disputes in Germany for a fast-growing digital bank. Responsible for compliance with German and EU laws while providing pragmatic legal support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage legal disputes in Germany from pre-litigation to regulatory disputes
  • Provide pragmatic legal advice and coordinate with external counsels
  • Manage dispute-related communications and responses to supervisory inquiries
  • Draft/review key vendor agreements and customer documentation
  • Deliver practical guidance and training for support teams

Requirements

  • Law degree from a recognized university or qualified lawyer in Germany
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in in-house or law firm role
  • Familiarity with German civil procedure and dispute handling
  • Strong understanding of consumer protection principles and regulatory expectations
  • Working knowledge of GDPR
  • Strong legal analysis and clear drafting skills
  • Fluent in German and English
