Responsibilities
Assist on a range of valuation advisory services to the alternative asset community
Develop deep technical strength in the valuation of alternative assets
Review investment memoranda, governing documents of structured investments, board of directors’ presentations, and client models
Assist the team with interviewing clients, to gather data and information pertinent to the engagement
Design financial models for discounted cash flow, market multiple, and option pricing analyses
Perform valuation analysis on a wide range of illiquid investments
Compile statistical summaries of companies’ financial information and develop financial ratios
Work with management to build and maintain client relationships
Report and present analyses and conclusions including written reports
Requirements
CA, Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics or equivalent thereof (e.g., CFA); or MBA from an accredited college/university
Minimum 0-1 year of experience constructing and reviewing valuation models and other financial models including: enterprise valuation using DCF & market approaches, and other structured investment models.
Experience with credit analysis or structured securities experience is a plus: CLOs, CMBS, RMBS, ABS, etc., Intex or other tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent understanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats and limitations
Familiarity with relevant accounting standards and policies produced and amended from time to time by the AICPA and other oversight bodies
Knowledge of software packages including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Direct experience working with VBA, Python, and Power BI is highly desirable
Excellent written and verbal communication skills that help represent diverse communities
