About the role

  • Senior Technical Design Specialist managing Microsoft Fabric environment for KONE's digital solutions. Leading troubleshooting, optimization, and collaboration with data engineering teams to enhance BI capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Administrate and manage the Microsoft Fabric environment, including user access, security configurations including secrets inside Azure Key Vault, workspace structures, and data governance
  • Configure and manage Fabric capacities, workspaces, and environments to ensure high performance, cost efficiency, and reliability
  • Implement and manage Fabric gateways for data refreshes, live queries, and hybrid data connectivity
  • Enforce governance policies, naming conventions, workspace standards, and data architecture guidelines across Fabric
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry standards, addressing audit and data privacy requirements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports, data sources, dataflows, semantic models, refresh failures, and connectivity
  • Monitor platform performance and proactively optimize capacity usage, refresh schedules, dataset performance, and Direct Lake configurations
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Power BI data models, DAX calculations, Power Query transformations, and Direct Lake mode
  • Possess a strong understanding of deployment pipelines in CI/CD environments within Microsoft Fabric & GitHub, ensuring smooth and reliable release cycles for BI assets
  • Collaborate with DevOps and data engineering teams to integrate BI workflows into enterprise deployment strategies
  • Collaborate with the enterprise data platform team to design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines with robust troubleshooting capabilities
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (data engineering, operations, and product management) to ensure cohesive solution delivery
  • Exhibit mastery in using Fabric shortcuts and advanced modelling techniques to streamline development workflows
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Fabric features, design frameworks, usability standards, and BI trends
  • Drive continuous improvement of platform practices, deployment standards, governance, and automation
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to increase scalability, adoption, and developer efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and modern data architectural principles
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric including Power BI, Onelake, Data Factory and Data Engineering
  • Hands on experience with Microsoft Power BI, Fabric, DBT and Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as SQL, DAX, Python and Power Query
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor development teams
  • Actively exploring and applying AI-assisted capabilities to improve productivity in BI solution development and delivery
  • Working in virtual matrix team with outstanding emotional intelligence skills, able to motivate team, remove the impediment, build excellent collaboration and psychological safe environment, champion for teamwork
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a passion for exploring and mastering new BI technologies
  • Preferred Certifications: DP-600: Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer, DP-700 Microsoft Data Engineer Associate & DP-900: Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals.
