About the role

  • DevOps Specialist supporting the engineering and operational enablement of next-gen data center platforms at KONE. Involves Infrastructure-as-Code deployments and daily DevOps workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Execute day‑to‑day DevOps tasks supporting compute, storage, virtualization, and Nasuni environments.
  • Run, monitor, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
  • Perform routine log reviews, configuration checks, and environment health validation.
  • Support deployment of VMs, containers, and platform components following the KONE guidelines/standards.
  • Execute IaC modules using Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell DSC.
  • Develop simple automation scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to support platform operations.
  • Help onboard new platforms into monitoring systems (Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, LogicMonitor or similar).
  • Validate alerts, anomalies, and telemetry data for correctness and completeness.
  • Assist in integrating Nasuni and data center components into AIOps workflows.
  • Update dashboards, thresholds, and event routing configurations as needed.
  • Support new platform rollouts, environment builds, and infrastructure provisioning tasks.
  • Participate in patching cycles (Operating System, Database, Middleware, Firmware), updates, DR tests, and platform readiness checks.
  • Execute tasks defined by the Platform Owner for ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in creating runbooks, SOPs, and DevOps execution guides.
  • Work with partner teams to ensure adherence to automation and process guidelines.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of experience in DevOps, automation engineering, or platform engineering.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD platforms (Azure DevOps, GitLab or similar).
  • Hands-on proficiency with IaC (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
  • Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell or similar).
  • Working knowledge of: VMware ecosystem (vSphere, NSX), HCI platforms, or Kubernetes.
  • Basic networking concepts (VLANs, SDN, firewalls).
  • Linux and Windows platform automation.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Dynatrace, Datadog, Elastic, Splunk, LogicMonitor, etc.).
  • Experience integrating logging/metric pipelines (Fluentd, Logstash, Grafana, etc.).
  • Exposure to AIOps concepts and automation workflows.
  • Strong collaboration skills—especially with architecture and operations teams.
  • Detail-oriented, with a focus on automation quality and reliability.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑moving, multi‑partner environment.
  • Clear communication and documentation skills.
