About the role

  • Senior Controls Engineer responsible for modernizing control systems in manufacturing facility. Managing projects and providing technical guidance in industrial automation and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and estimate the scope, time, and cost for assigned engineering projects, overseeing all phases from conception through construction and maintenance.
  • Analyze and develop effective engineering solutions for issues related to manufacturing equipment and systems, including detailed investigations into the causes of component failures.
  • Design and enhance manufacturing processes, instruments, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and product quality through rigorous testing.
  • Independently manage and resolve complex engineering issues with minimal supervision, reserving only the most critical or policy-impacting matters for escalation.
  • Develop and apply engineering standards and procedures, providing guidance on best practices within the engineering field.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.) or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional work experience in an industrial environment.
  • Specific expertise with Emerson DeltaV control systems, including programming, configuration, and modernization experience.
  • Direct experience with industrial project management within a manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
