  • Donor Development Manager at KidZone Museum enhancing donor relationships and securing long-term support. Managing donor portfolios, grant writing, and fundraising events in Truckee, California.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares campaign materials
  • Coordinates Donor Prospect Strategies
  • Tracks Contributions
  • Supports Major Donor Cultivation and Stewardship throughout all Phases of the Campaign
  • Designs and Implements Annual Fundraising Campaigns
  • Cultivates and Stewards Relationships with Individual Donors, Corporate Sponsors, and Foundation Partners and Oversee Donor Communications
  • Drafts Newsletters, Solicitation Letters, and Impact Updates
  • Prepares Timely Thank-you Letters and Acknowledgments
  • Coordinates Donor Meetings and Supports Leadership and Board Members in Donor Engagement
  • Researches and Identifies Grant Opportunities Aligned with the Museum’s Programs
  • Drafts Proposals and Budgets for Grants and Manages Reporting Requirements
  • Cultivates Sponsorships and In-kind Donations from Businesses and Community Partners to Strengthen KidZone’s Financial Base
  • Coordinates with Fundraising Committee to Execute Fundraising Events such as Galas, Donor Receptions and Community Benefit Activities
  • Secures Sponsorships, Coordinates Logistics, Manages Volunteers and Ensures Successful Donor Recognition
  • Prepares Post-event Evaluation and Reports
  • Provides Tools, Training and Support to Strengthen their Role in Fundraising and Donor Cultivation
  • Coordinates Board Participation in Campaigns, Events and Stewardship Activities
  • Prepares Fundraising Updates for Board Meetings
  • Maintains Accurate Donor Records in the Fundraising Database
  • Oversees Donor and Stakeholder List Management
  • Generates Reports for Staff and Board Review
  • Ensures Compliance with Nonprofit Fundraising Standards
  • Supports Overall Fundraising Administration

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of Nonprofit Development, Fundraising, and/or Grant Management Experience
  • Proficient in CRM Systems
  • Strong Communication and Organizational Skills
  • Experience with Donor Databases
  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Non-Profit Management or Related Field
  • Desirable Research and informative persuasive writing for fundraising purposes
  • Must have reliable transportation, ideally living within Reno/Truckee Area and can travel in snow
