About the role

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator managing platform administration, campaign execution, and data integrity for global marketing technology team. Collaborating with stakeholders for best practices and innovation in marketing automation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage user roles, permissions, and platform configurations across SFMC.
  • Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with governance standards.
  • Maintain security, data integrity, and adherence to privacy regulations (GDPR, CAN-SPAM).
  • Support end-to-end campaign delivery across Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Content Builder.
  • Build, test, and schedule dynamic journeys and automations using AMPscript and SQL.
  • Drive campaign optimisation through personalisation, performance tracking, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce CRM teams to ensure accurate data syncs and segmentation.
  • Manage data extensions, imports, and platform integrations (API, FTP, etc.) with reliability and scalability in mind.
  • Provide expert guidance on campaign execution and platform best practices.
  • Lead change management for platform updates, ensuring robust documentation, testing, and version control.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years hands-on experience as an SFMC Administrator or Marketing Automation Specialist.
  • Proficiency in AMPscript, SQL, HTML/CSS, and data-driven email personalisation.
  • Strong experience with Automation Studio, Journey Builder, and campaign segmentation.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM (Sales Cloud) and system integrations.
  • Proven ability to engage marketing and IT stakeholders, balancing technical detail with clear communication.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns in a global context.
  • Desirable Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (Administrator, Email Specialist, Developer).
  • Experience working in a distributed global team or with UK/EMEA stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of governance and change control processes.
  • Awareness of data protection and privacy regulations (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, consent management).
