About the role
- Antennen-Designer developing antennas for Future Combat Air System (FCAS) at K-tronik. Focus on integration into flying platforms and modern testing methods.
Responsibilities
- Develop antennas for radio communications within the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) program, with a focus on integration into airborne platforms.
- Design, optimize and test antennas and associated RF front-ends—from concept development through to series production readiness.
- Perform feasibility studies and evaluate technical concepts with respect to performance, integration and system compatibility.
- Support antenna design through verification and actively assist with platform integration and validation at both component and system levels.
- Specify qualifying tests and measurements and verify antenna characteristics using modern test methods.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, RF Engineering or a related field—ideally a Master’s degree or PhD, or an equivalent qualification.
- Solid professional experience in antenna development and integration.
- Extensive experience in modeling and simulation using RF development tools such as CST Microwave Studio and AWR Microwave Office.
- Knowledge of RF front-end architectures and RF measurement techniques, including Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers and other RF test equipment.
